THE Manukau Home and Garden Show promises to motivate visitors to transform their homes into habitats they will love to live in.
When the doors of TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre in Manukau open this Friday homeowners and gardeners can see for themselves the latest innovations in interior and exterior living.
Undoubtedly the highlight will be the Sculptor of the Year award. Twenty-three sculptors will have their artistic aptitude and craftsmanship scrutinised by judge Hilary Smythe, one of the Morgan Street Gallery directors.
Show visitors will also have their say with a special Peoples’ Choice Award.
The winning work will later be exhibited at Morgan Street Gallery, a coup for the artist.
At a more practical level, visitors have the opportunity to learn about MoistureMASTER Condensation Control Ventilation System to improve energy efficiency and keep homes warm and comfortable. Everyone has the chance to go in the draw to win their own system to the value of $2000.
As well as more than 150 displays for the house and garden, professional consultants will be on hand to answer all those tricky questions.
Each day there are informative seminars covering garden landscaping, feng shui and colour in interior design.
The show is on daily from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3 – 10am to 5pm.
