But that’s not surprising when the people responsible for the design work are Claire Rollason, director of Marmalade Kitchens and co-designer Leanne Hunt. (Actually, this happens to be Leanne’s kitchen.)
For her new design, Leanne wanted European sophistication that blended easily with a casual, family-orientated lifestyle. Living just metres from the beach, she wanted the kitchen to reflect the laid back mood of summer, and incorporated with that, the latest design innovations on offer.
In the reconfiguration, the original kitchen footprint was pushed back, giving more room for the dining space, which takes in coastal views. The addition of the spacious butler’s kitchen keeps serious food preparation away from the main kitchen and Leanne is delighted with her planning centre to the side of the main area.
“With this kitchen, we’ve developed new products and processes that we’re delighted with and we know our clients will be too. The white painted glass fronts on the kitchen cabinetry, manufactured by Applied Coatings are a first for us, and we’ve now introduced the installation of moisture resistant board in all kitchen carcasses,” says Claire.
“At Marmalade Designs we’ve lifted the bar at no extra cost to our clients and continue to improve the quality of our service and products. We’ve been project managing all our commissions from start to finish for the past five years – that way we have total control of every installation. We can ensure each job runs smoothly and efficiently with the best possible outcome,” Claire says.
